Our Team

The  Village  Circle Company is  comprised of individuals with depth of experience, great abilities, and creative edge.   We
understand  the value of well-tuned team dynamics.   We  understand   the  importance  of  professionalism,  results,  and
enjoying   what  you  do.   As  a  team,  we  are passionate about supporting your teams,   delivering  great   results,  and
helping  you  have  fun  in  the  process.
Mary Paul, President, CFO

Mary  Paul,  co-founder  of  the  Village  Circle Company, has 9 years of
experience  in  project  management and application development for the
telecommunications  industry.   Mary  provides  subject matter expertise
and    project   management   guidance   for   Village   Circle   Company
engagements.   Prior  to  co-founding  the Village Circle Company, Mary
was  a  project  leader and application development manager for Verizon.
There,   she   led   a   twenty-five   member   development team  through
successful  software releases, saving customers and Verizon millions of
dollars   annually.    She   also    has   team   facilitation   and   process
improvement  experience  with  other  business  units  of  Verizon. Mary
earned  a  Bachelor’s  in  Mathematics  from Wittenberg  University, where she graduated Cum Laude and also earned an
MBA  in  Information  Systems  Management and Organizational Behavior from George Washington University.  Mary and
Cary are the proud parents of three, amazing children: Abigail, Anna and Asher.
Adam Reid, Principal Consultant

Adam brings  a great  sense of humor and a unique, creative perspective
to  the  Village  Circle  Company.   He  is  responsible  for  creating  and
delivering  unique  and  results-focused  solutions for a variety of clients.  
Throughout  his 13  years of professional life, Adam has honed his skills
in the areas of facilitation, training, solution development, small business
strategy  and  vocal  performance,  while  focusing  on the telecommuni-
cations,   financial,   and  retail   industries.   Adam  also  has  a  strong
entrepreneurial  background -  in  2003,  he  was responsible for bringing
Cold Stone Creamery to Northern Michigan, and ran the operations there
for   three   years.    As  a   facilitator,   Adam   successfully merges his
performing  arts  abilities  with  his  small  business  management  experience. Adam takes pride in helping organizations
modify  and  improve  their  procedures  and  processes,  as  he  facilitates  unique  and  engaging  experiences.  He has
successfully  taken  his  business  ownership  experience,  fused  it  with  his  professional  experience,  and applied it to
facilitation  engagements  with  The  Village  Circle Company’s diverse range of clients.  Adam’s creative energy has been
critical  to VCC’s client results and growing portfolio of solutions.  Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education
from  California State University Northridge.  Adam’s professional vocal career include a 1997 appearance singing back up
vocals  for  Garth  Brooks on the Tonight Show, and his current work as lead singer of Michigan’s premiere wedding band,
MacDaddy.
Mariah Charbonneau, Business Manager

Mariah’s   diverse  professional  history has provided her with exceptional
skills  in  project  management,  vendor  procurement,  public  speaking,
training   and   communication.   Mariah   is  responsible  for  the  overall
business   management   of   The   Village   Circle   Company,  including
communications,  project  tracking, administration, and financial support.  
Prior  to  joining  The  Village Circle Company, Mariah served as a Heavy
Wheeled   Vehicle   Mechanic   in  the  United  States  Army,  and  was
awarded  several  medals  and  ribbons throughout her service, including:
two  Army Achievement medals, a  National Defense Service medal, and
an   expert   marksmanship  badge.   She   then  managed  the  national
logistics  chain  for  multiple  pharmaceutical  giants,  including  Fortune  50  and  500 companies such as Pfizer, Merck,
Pharmacia,  and Eli Lilly.  In that capacity, Mariah presented  monthly, on-site briefs to corporate executives and provided
consulting  services  to  various  federal  regulation  agencies  in  off-site  pharmaceutical theft and pilferage investigations.  
Mariah  has designed and facilitated multiple small group (50 or fewer participants) sessions, and  has served as a critical
panel  member  in  executive  level  brainstorming  sessions  for process improvement.  Mariah’s  passion lies in providing
exceptional  customer  service  and  increasing employee satisfaction through process  improvement.  Mariah is blissfully
married to her husband of 10 years, Jeremy, and is the mother of two brilliant children, Duran and Sage.
Jayme Kratky, Principal Consultant

Throughout   his   five   years   of  professional  experience,  Jayme  has
developed  a  great  passion  for  leading people  to their fullest potential
through  excellent  facilitation  skills,  clear  communication,  and strong
leadership.   As  the  Village  Circle  Company’s  facilitation and training
lead, Jayme’s responsibilities include: internal training, development and
delivery  of  facilitation,  training  solutions  and  leadership development.  
In   previous   professional   roles,  Jayme  was  charged  with  business
development,  training  and  human  resource  placement,  and business
process  management.   Jayme's  innovative  thinking,  strong leadership
and  teamwork  skills,  combined  with his experience in marketing, advertising, and sales make him ideally suited for his
role  on  our  business  development  team.   He  has  consistently  proven  himself  a highly competent project manager,
facilitator,  and  trainer.  Jayme’s  extraordinary ability to take multiple inputs from a variety of sources and combine them
into  effective  and  concise  documentation proves highly valuable in documenting and communicating change throughout
various levels of an organization.  Recently, Jayme co-facilitated an extensive nationwide software implementation as part
of a large corporate client’s reorganization effort.  Jayme holds a B.A. in Music with Cognates in Communication Arts and
Music History from Michigan State University.  Jayme’s pride and joy are his lovely wife, Lindsay, and son, Cole.
Cary Paul, Vice President, CEO

Cary Paul,  co-founder  of  The  Village  Circle  Company,  is  widely  recognized  as  an  expert in creating and delivering
facilitated  sessions  that  are  energetic,  innovative  and experiential.  He delivers client services, manages the business
operations  of the company, and leads all marketing efforts of business services and products.  Cary has over 14 years of
experience  leading  various  public  and  private  sector teams and organizations through continuous improvement efforts,
including:  strategic planning, training, balanced scorecard, change management, and process improvement.  Throughout
his  career  as a  consultant,  Cary has accumulated years of experience managing the entire strategic planning process,
from  defining client problems and identifying potential opportunities, to leading small and large scale facilitation efforts, to
documenting  results and  implementing  action  plans.  In addition, Cary has 9 years of change management experience,
leading  engagements  that  have  helped  numerous  business  units  achieve  improved individual and team performance
results.   His  practical  experience in change management includes extensive training, communication, and interpersonal
interaction  with executives, managers, and teams as they experience new procedures and technologies in the workplace.
Cary  earned  a  BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University, and an MBA in Organizational Development and
Information  Technology  from  George  Washington  University.   While in college, he gained invaluable guest service and
performance  experience  with  The  Walt  Disney Company, which helped shape the guiding vision now embraced by the
Village Circle Company.
Our Headquarters

Traverse  City is  where  we  call home.  Many, if not most, of our clients
had  never  heard  of  Traverse  City  –  until  they  met us.  Michigan.org
